Environmental

The transportation, delivery and handling of petroleum products carry health, safety and environmental risk, and we treat that as the first thing to get right. Borealis maintains comprehensive programs covering the safe handling of propane, diesel and lubricants, the condition of the equipment that carries them, and the response if something goes wrong. On the product itself: propane burns more cleanly than gasoline or diesel, producing fewer greenhouse gas emissions per unit of energy delivered. We help customers move to it where it is the better fuel for the job.

Social

Borealis is committed to a culture where inclusion, diversity, engagement, learning and innovation are hallmarks rather than aspirations. We incorporate local and Indigenous-owned businesses into our supply chain, and we hire from the communities we deliver to — the people who know the roads, the winters and the customers.

Governance

We work with our stakeholders and distribution partners to encourage diversity and inclusion, and we hold ourselves to the commitments we make in writing. Our team considers it of the utmost importance to conduct business honestly, to keep the records that prove it, and to answer for the decisions we take.

Accountability

Borealis is a member of the Canadian Council of Aboriginal Business and the Rocky Mountain Propane Association, and we participate in the standards and safety work those organisations lead. Questions about this policy can be put to us through the contact page and will be answered by a person.
