Privacy Policy

This site collects very little, and none of it without you typing it. We do not run advertising here, we do not use tracking pixels or advertising cookies, and there is no account to register for. The site counts visits in aggregate; it does not build a profile of you.

Your name, your email address, and whatever you write in the message — including the delivery address and fuel details, if you include them. We use it to answer you and for nothing else.

Your email address, if you subscribe to it. We use it to send company updates until you unsubscribe, and for nothing else.

To answer you. A quote request is answered by a person, and a mailing-list subscription sends you company updates until you ask us to stop. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers below, who process it on our behalf.

This site runs on Vercel (hosting), stores its content in a PostgreSQL database hosted by LayerBase, and serves images through Bunny.net (CDN). Our email is delivered by our mail provider. Each of these is a processor: they handle the data on our instructions and for no other purpose.

Contact-form messages are kept for as long as they are useful to the conversation they started, and no longer than two years. Mailing-list subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, plus a short period afterwards to honour the request.

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Every email from the mailing list has an unsubscribe link that works immediately, without asking you to log in. To make any other request, use the contact page or email hello@borealis.obsidianco.ca. We will confirm within thirty days, and we will not ask you to justify the request.

When this policy changes in substance, the date at the top of this page changes with it. If the change affects what we do with information you have already given us, we will tell you by email rather than only by updating this page.
